The Hyper Growth Blueprint.

Read time: 4 mins…

Welcome back folks 🫔

This week’s Hyper Growth Blueprint covers:

  • šŸ† Know anyone looking for an Paid Internship?

  • šŸ— Why I travelled 144 miles for a Sunday Lunch

  • šŸ“‰ Lessons learnt from bad data… 🤬

  • šŸ¤– Mega-Prompt of the Week

Let’s go… šŸ‘‡

Greeting Entrepreneurs,

Before we dive into the good stuff… I have two very quick exciting things to share…

  1. We’ve just launched our new 6-month Internship Programme.

We’re looking for 2 interns to join our paid ads team.

They are paid roles (Ā£27k p.a) and ideal for anyone who wants to learn about the world of advertising & marketing.

If you know anyone that might be interested, all the details can be found here.

(I’ll cover in a future episode the rationale behind this programme as it may be useful for anyone who hires entry level roles… šŸ‘)

  1. We’re partnering with Graf UK to attempt to row 344 miles in 24 hours starting tonight at 8pm.

It’s being live streamed and is to raise money for Katherine House Hospice.

Details can be found here to follow along & donate if you are so inclined.

(Please let me know if you donate as I would like to send you something in the post to say thanks!)

Right… into the good stuff we go… šŸ‘‡

There are two topics hot in my head this morning…

The first was off the back of visiting the The Tap & Run pub in Upper Broughton last week.

I travelled 144 miles to go for a Sunday Lunch there and boy was it worth it.

The food was top draw… as you can see here… šŸ‘‡

But what made the experience stand out was the level of service.

Every single team member played their role in creating an extremely enjoyable experience.

(Something I find increasingly rare in British hospitality!)

It was a reminder of the value of Client Servicing.

So I wanted to talk about that first… šŸ‘‡

Jay Abraham taught me there’s a distinct difference between ā€˜customers’ & ā€˜clients’.

Customer = a person/business that buys a commodity

Client = a person/business who is under the protection of another

If you use the word customer that’s fine, but still think of them as clients.

Being ā€œunder protectionā€ simply means that you don’t sell them to try and make the largest amount of profit in one go…

It means you take the time to understand & appreciate exactly what it is they need.

Once you understand that need…

…you can help lead them to their desired outcome - whether that’s using your services or not.

For example, I normally speak to 10 or so businesses each month who want to grow their business & think we can help them.

Instead of saying yes to everyone…

…we have chat about the state of their business, their commercials, their targets for this year…

…and try and deduce what the real best course of action is.

Only about 25% of the time is our solution the right one.

Which means 75% of the time I help steer them in a different direction.

I have learnt it’s a powerful thing when you put people’s best interests above your own.

The second topic is accurate data.

As in the last few weeks we have a particular challenge with one client who’s data sources are… well… let’s just say sub-optimal šŸ˜…

We have worked with dozens of businesses over the last 3.5 years.

Some have had achieved meteoric success & growth.

Others it has been slower.

One of the biggest factors we’ve identified is that the ones that achieve explosive growth very quickly have very accurate business data.

This is because accurate data leads to two things…

  1. Smart Decision Making

It’s a huge handicap to be running a business without understanding what’s actually happening on a weekly basis.

It shows you what is working well…

…and more importantly where the current constraint in your business is.

Every business is limited by its constraints.

Growth is achieved by identifying & removing them.

We create scorecards like this to track our clients businesses… šŸ‘‡

  1. Provides Fuel to the Algorithms

Ad platforms like Meta & Google rely on data as their fuel.

They need to see & understand what happens when someone clicks through an ad.

When someone buys your stuff…

…they use this data to go and find more people who are similarly and likely to buy your stuff.

It’s a virtuous cycle.

It’s critical to have this set up properly BEFORE you run any ads.

Otherwise you kill your chances of success before you’ve even begun.

If you’re not sure how or have troubles with your ad tracking, hit reply, let me know and I’ll see if we can help… šŸ‘

That’s all for this week - I hope you found it useful.

Take it easy,

Elliott āœŒšŸ¼

Mega-Prompt of the Week šŸ¤–
