How to create a landing page with 31.36% conversion rate & get Ā£1 leadsā¦
āOwningā a list of people & then selling them stuff is marketing 101.
The easiest way to get a list is to give away something valuable for free.
The other day, we launched a new lead magnet funnel for a new client.
And it broke our conversion rate records.
Unbounce in their 2020 Conversion Benchmark Report, say the top 10% of lead magnet landing pages are converting at over 11.45%.
Our previous record was a page that converted at 26%.
But now we have a new champ thatās converting at 31.36% š.
The most recent page stats as of 6.09am 12/09/23.
So today I wanted to share our winning secrets with you & explain how we create pages that convert so well so you can swipe & build your own.

The 4-Section Structure
The Title
The Tease
The Moment of Realisation
The CTA
The Form
The Loading Speed
#1 The 4-Section Structure
High-converting pages must first be understood, before they can be persuasive.
This page utilised a very simple 4-section structure.
Section #1 - The Show-Stopper
The most important part.
It wins by showcasing everything - what it is, what it looks like, whoās it for & whatās inside.
The 2 ginormous neon pink buttons also help.
Section #2 - The Self-Identifier
This where we state the specific avatars that this page is for.
The more specific here the better.
We want to trigger an aha moment of āohā¦ thatās me!ā
Section #3 - The Confidence Revealer
We build the viewers confidence by revealing exactly whatās inside.
We need to prove our lead magnet is valuable.
Pro tip: list the page numbers certain topics appear.
Section #4 - The Hail Mary
Our last chance to get them to convert.
So we opt for a huge image spread.
This shows them the content of the pages so they know exactly what their getting.
#2 The Title
The most important part of any lead magnet is the title.
Every good lead magnet needs to be specific, simple & solve a problem.
But a top 1% lead magnet title also does 3 things:
Says who itās for (Keto Foodies)
Shows why it credible (A Chefās Guide)
Makes it clear on whatās inside (Tips for starting your low carb journey)
We had a list of 37 different titles before settling for this one.
#3 The Tease
This is a crucial part in the first section.
We use 5 carefully selected bullet points to explain exactly whatās inside the lead magnet.
This is where your ability to write high-converting headlines will come in handy.
The 5-point tease we used hereā¦āļø
Bonus tip: be sure to include reference to a āsupriseā for extra conversion points.
#4 The Moment of Realisation
This is the moment they realise the information in this guide was made specifically for them.
We accomplish this by stating the three specific avatars that the lead magnet is for.
The 3 avatars we targeted in this instance were different stages of Keto fans.
#5 The CTA
Ginormous neon pink buttons.
These were not chosen as a design choice.
They were chosen because from all our testing data they convert the highest.
Pro tip: keep all your CTA buttons the same colour on a page.
Never have multiple CTAās in the same colour.
#6 The Form
This plays a huge part in conversion so deserves a mentionā¦
Itās a simple form.
We capture only what we need.
We have a nice picture to remind them why they clicked the form.
We reiterate why we need their details (to send them the guide).
Keep it simple for effective forms.
#7 The Loading Speed
This sucker loads instantly.
As all high-converting pages do.
Nothing, and I repeat NOTHING kills conversion rate faster than a slow loading page.
The stats when you run it through GTMetrix - a web speed checker.
In this day and age there is no excuse for it.
If your website doesnāt load fast - youāre using the wrong tech or the wrong web people.
