Last week I facetimed a client of ours whilst he was having a sports massageā¦
It was technically his day offā¦
ā¦but something urgent came up that I knew heād want to hear.
Lo and behold we had a great 2-min chat.
Dealt with the pressing issue that had emerged.
Then I let him be.
Having worked with dozens of businesses now through my agencyā¦
ā¦I can say for certain the common trait amongst the biggest & most successful businesses is that they move FAST.
They implement with speed & haste.
When thereās a blocker, they donāt lament.
They destroy it.
Even if theyāre having a massage at the same time!
Iām going head to head with Meta.
I have a bad feeling about what they are trying to do to the ad platform.
Let me explainā¦ š
Iām sure youāve seen a bunch of the new automated & AI features they have rolled outā¦
Theyāll write your copy
Theyāll create your ad creative
Theyāll choose who to target
Theyāll do pretty much everythingā¦ if you let them.
And I donāt think this is a good thing for you or me.
Maybe for the everyday small business owner who doesnāt have the time or inclination to learn how to craft killer ads.
But you dear reader, by the very fact you are here reading this tells me you are different and that you strive for more.
I think if you want to achieve exceptional results you have to think different.
If the majority of people are using all of these āeasy-modeā AI featuresā¦
ā¦then the majority will get average results.
Those that dare to stray outside the norm, will be the ones who get abnormal results.
So I wanted to share how we do this with our Meta campaignsā¦
How We Circumvent Metaās Mediocrity Plague Using
Our 4-Phase Testing System
We use this system to quickly & affordably test 100ās of creative variations.
We breakdown & individually test the four most impactful components:
Phase #1: Creative
Phase #2: Primary Text
Phase #3: Headline
Phase #4: Audience
Step 1: We test at least 10 variants at each stage.
Soā¦
10 x Creative
10 x Primary Text
10 x Headline
10 x Audiences.
Step 2: We then create rules in Meta to turn the ads off after theyāve received 1500 impressions.
This is a small enough sample that it doesnāt cost a lot.
But big enough to tell if the ad is working.
(Just think about 1,500 in a room staring at youā¦ š thatās quite a lot!)
Step 3: We use Unique Click-Through Rate (UCTR) as measure of success.
When each ad is spending so littleā¦ itās unreasonable for it to drive a significant volume of leads or sales.
The job of the ad is to capture attention and drive someone to click.
Therefore we use UCTR as our measure of success.
Step 4: Identify & scale the winners to the mooooon!
