For the last 111 weeks in a row I have sat down, written, and published this newsletter.

Now in a funny turn of fate…

Today I ran a workshop on Email Newsletters!

Putting the finishing touches on my workshop slides…

The whole reason I started this newsletter was because my business ran on referrals.

But as we grew… I no longer wanted to rely on these great, but inconsistent referrals

So I sat down one day to think.

“How I could find and convert high-ticket agency clients?”

After much umm-ing & ahh-ing…

I asked myself this question…👇

My thought process was…

  • If I had a list of 10,000 business owners

  • I email them once a week

  • It would be unreasonable for me to not get 10 clients per year (0.1%)

Thus this newsletter was born.

And the reality ended up much better than I ever could have imagined.

Now to share everything I’ve learned during that time is a great privilege.

One topic that emerged throughout was the use of AI & how to properly use it to write quality content vs generic rubbish…

…and this sparked a deep conversion about LinkedIn’s recent algorithm change... 👇

I'm hugely bullish on human interaction in an AI world.

And LinkedIn just proved my point.

Their algorithm now throttles AI-generated content so hard, people are seeing 3-week-old posts in their feeds.

The platform would rather show you stale human thoughts than fresh robot wisdom.

This is just the beginning.

Here's my thesis…👇

In 2 years AI will:

  • create your ads

  • write your emails

  • build your landing pages

  • and optimise everything in real-time.

We’ll push a button & get a complete marketing campaign.

And who’s knows what else it going to be able to do.

But as we get more and more digital… our humanity becomes increasing valuable.

When everyone uses AI to write, platforms punish AI content.
When everyone automates responses, humans crave real conversation.
When everyone scales with robots, authentic becomes priceless.

And we are seeing the first signs of it today…

I mean what a scenario…. LinkedIn's feed is DYING because genuine human content is now scarce.

Everyone's using ChatGPT.

Nobody's sharing real thoughts.

And its damaging the platform because AI generated drivel is no replacement for ACTUAL human thoughts.

I think we will start to see this more & more…

As AI handles the functional, humans crave the personal.

Entrepreneurs Circle just invested in a ginormous building.

this big guy behind me…

While everyone else goes "remote first"…

While AI makes in-person "unnecessary"…

We are betting on the value of bringing people together, physically.

And it’s because in the last few months we have been seen lots of indicators…

  • Phone calls convert better than chatbots.

  • Handwritten notes get 10x response rates.

  • Real LinkedIn posts get 50x more reach than AI ones.

Not because they're more efficient.

Because they're more human.
