That’s what last weekend looked like for me.
24 hours off‑grid.
No blue light. No temptation.
Just room for my brain to chillllllllllll the f out.
Highly recommend it if your mind feels like an overworked driver ready to crash.
It meant I started this week fully refreshed.
And the week started strong when I was reviewing one of our clients scorecards last night…👇
Sometimes the answer is violence.
I was analysing a clients scorecard yesterday.
They are a multi-7 figure online info business.
Their funnel looks like this:
Ads → Free Challenge → Webinar → Sale → Onboarding Call → Upsell
Across these 6 stages there are a TON of things that can be improved…
And this particular client got a little bit ‘optimisation obsessed’.
They were hellbent on us incrementally improving every single part of the funnel BEFORE we increased our ad spend & traffic on the front end.
Now to be clear…
Optimising your funnel is good 🙂
You should do it. We do it.
That’s not the point here.
The point is this:
Once your core metrics (CTR, CPL, conversion rates etc) are in a good place…
Making small optimisations to your funnel (landing pages, emails, etc.) start to become a low impact activity.
It stops moving the needle.
All marketing will eventually suffer from the law of diminishing returns.
I.e. they will only drive relatively small improvements to performance - and actually risk reducing it.

When you hit this point, it’s time to switch mindset away from optimising to maximising.
Your biggest lever becomes the volume of traffic (or throughput) going through the funnel.
So you need to start increasing your ad spend & making more ads.
You need to choose violence.
Some people struggle with this.
They want everything to be perfect before they ramp things up.
Here’s the truth: Things will never be perfect.
Metrics will always fluctuate.
Funnels will break.
Forms will stop working.
Great ads will suddenly stop working.
It’s all part of the game.
You have to accept it and embrace it.
It’s the price you pay for scaling.
