I hope you had a great Christmas.
I was lucky enough to be showered in a variety of Croissant paraphernalia.
After over indulging, I am kickstarting the new year by rolling onto the Carnivore diet.
Iām only going to consume red meat & eggs for the next 30 days.
The net result should be losing all the Christmas weight + seriously enhanced mental clarity.
Weāll see if that comes true.

ā¦so letās talk about January.
A few days ago I posted this on LinkedInā¦
Some people donāt like January because its cold, theyāve overdosed on sugar, and they are unprepared.
But the astute marketers & business owners among us may love it as much as I do.
3 reasons to LOVE January as a marketerā¦
Itās cheaper to run ads
The black friday, cyber monday carnage is over... š®āšØ
...which means Facebook CPM's drastically decrease.
Combine that with the 'new year, new me' attitude a lot of people adopt...
...and you have a month of epic results.
People are ready to invest in positive change
āNew Year, New Meā takes over the psychology of the populus across the world.
Itās a time of year when people are actively seeking to take action on things that will help them be better versions of them self.
We refocus all our messaging so that it emphasises this positive impact.
Businesses are unprepared
Iāve worked with a lot of businesses & speak to dozens every month at networking events I host.
Itās always surprising how unprepared some businesses can be for the New Year.
This presents a huge opportunity for those that do get prepared.
We have our clientās January campaigns all built & scheduled by 20th Decemberā¦
ā¦so they can go live on the 26th Dec.
This means before weāve come back into the office on the 2nd Janā¦
ā¦weāve already been able to capitalise on 7 days of vastly reduced ad costs and vastly reduced competition.
Regardlessā¦ itās not too late.
Taking massive action this week & cranking up your budgets will set your year off in very good stead.
Just to provide some evidence to these claims, hereās a few snapshots from some of our ad accounts comparing the 7 days after 26th Dec with the week priorā¦
40% drop in cost per application submitted
26% drop in cost per purchase
30% drop in cost per lead (which in this case was free quotes for Ā£12k products)
Iāve been running ads now for over 6 years.
In that time, I have spent well over Ā£18,000,000.
So trust me, when I say - ads are not the answer.
In fact I think ad only agencies are going to struggle in 2024.
So much needs to be in line in order for ads to work.
Your offer.
The copy.
The creative.
The CTA.
The landing page.
The form.
The checkout.
The story.
The reviews.
The communications.
The tracking.
The measurement.
And even with all of thisā¦
ā¦the ads need to be part of proper strategy that is working to drive your business to the place you want it to be.
