Last week we had our Xmas party!

The team & I went to Mamma Mia the Party and booogied the night away.

But before we left I presented our Year in Review, so we could look back at the good, the bad, and the ugly of 2024.

One thing immediately stood out to me…

We tested over 11,278 Meta Ads in 2024.

There was one type of creative that consistently outperformed the rest…

Testimonial Ads.

Other people will sell your thing better than you can.

How to Create Video Testimonials in 4 Simple Steps

  1. Do a great job so you have happy customers

  2. At the point at which they are most happy… ask them for a video

  3. Give them the ‘Epiphany Bridge’ framework as a guide

  4. Run as an ad & create Testimonial supercuts & montages

Let me break down the ‘Epiphany Bridge’ framework for you…

The Epiphany Bridge is a storytelling framework (popularised by Russell Brunson).

Its core idea is to lead an audience through a narrative journey that helps them experience a realisation (the "epiphany") that mirrors one the storyteller once had.

It’s the perfect structure for a testimonial… and make it a lot easier for your customers as it gives them a clear map of what to say.

Here’s how it works…👇

The Shared Pain Point:

Start by asking them about their life BEFORE they met you.

  • What was their situation?

  • What was their pain?

  • What frustrations or roadblocks they faced.

By having them articulate this, you establish a shared starting point that resonates with other potential buyers.

The Emotional Journey:

Instead of jumping straight to their positive outcome…

…ask them to talk through their decision-making process.

  • How did they feel when searching for solutions?

  • What made them trust you?

We want to display their emotions here

The ‘Aha!’ Moment

Prompt the customer to identify the exact moment they realized your offering was different.

  • Was it a unique feature?

  • A breakthrough conversation with your team?

  • A big improvement in their results?

This becomes the heart of their testimonial, showing that something “clicked” and changed their perspective.

The Transformation:

Once they’ve described their epiphany, guide them to detail the positive changes that followed.

  • Did your solution save them time?

  • Boost their revenue?

  • Reduce stress?

Highlighting before-and-after contrasts helps prospective clients visualise the tangible impact of working with you.

The Belief Shifts:

Finally we encourage them to reflect on how their initial skepticism was replaced by confidence.

  • What are they skeptical about that they now believe to be true?

  • What did they think would be impossible, that you made possible?

By openly sharing how your product or service fundamentally changed their beliefs or assumptions, the testimonial feels genuine and persuasive.

This builds trust with future buyers who may start out feeling just as uncertain.

Armed with this, you should now be able to collect some killer video testimonials that will hopefully be your best performing ads of 2025.
