The Hyper Growth Blueprint.
Read time: 4 minsā¦
Welcome back folks š«”
This weekās Hyper Growth Blueprint covers:
ā° Discovering your Sacred Hours
š I let a client go last week
šŖ A cookie-less future is on the horizon
š¤ Mega-Prompt of the Week: Create Flawless Midjourney Prompts
Letās goā¦ š
I thought Iād start this week with a simple concept I love: Sacred Hours
Your Sacred Hours are the times of the day that you are:
Most productive
Least contactable
For me itās 5.30am - 9am.
I make my morning productivity potion
(herbal tea, raw honey, salt, creatineā¦ seriously delicious š)
Light some candles.
Headphones on. Tune in to Brain.fm.
And get to work.
All my important work & big picture stuff gets done in this time.
My current sacred hours set up.
Sometimes, you have to let clients go.
Especially when they're misaligned with your core values.
At the end of the dayā¦ it's not just about the bottom line.
It's about respect and alignment.
I had to do this just last week, so I thought Iād share my approach & what I didā¦
Understand our values
Our business has a culture, a way of doing things.
If a client clashes with that, it can be detrimental.
This client clashed hardā¦
So I realised I must honor & fight for our values.
Assess the Situation
Iāve learnt that 9 problems out of 10 come down to a communication issue that can be solved with a phone call.
So I didnāt jump the gun & set out to speak to the client first.
Seeking to understanding where they're coming from.
Make a decision
Now Iāve assessed the situationā¦ I get to decide.
a) Is there a clear misalignment here?
b) Is this client causing more harm than good?
c) What impact is this client having on my team members?
For me the answers were yes, yes, and huge.
Have the conversation
I believe these types of conversation should always be on the phone.
Itās easy to hide behind big words in an email.
But the lack of context can lead to situations taking unexpected turns.
So I scheduled a call and we jumped on.
My strategy for the conversation was simple: be honest & professional.
No one likes being firedā¦ and the goal here was not to burn bridges.
So we had a swift conversation with dignity and professionalism.
After all, I also believe how you end a relationship can be just as telling as how you foster one.
Reflect
Reflect on the experience.
What can we learn from it?
Weāre already improving your vetting process for future clients.
Focus on the clients who appreciate and align with your work.
Letting go can be liberating and a strategic move towards a more fruitful future.
I got asked the other week for my thoughts on the cookieless future weāre heading toā¦
Here's my take:
šŖ Itās time for a changeā¦
Cookies have been at the center of digital marketing for decades.
They track user behaviour across the web & feeding our ad account algorithms.
Without them, we need to find new ways to personalise and measure effectively.
šŖ Privacy is important...
The push towards a cookieless web is driven by privacy concerns.
We must respect users' desire for control over their data.
šŖ The First-Party Data Gold Rush
Leads become gold.
Collect them through sign-ups, subscriptions, events, & any other interactions with your business.
I wholeheartedly believe those investing in lead generation now, will win in the future.
šŖ Do meaningful stuff with your leadsā¦
Building direct relationships with your leads is vital.
But I foresee many struggling with thisā¦
ā¦as itās a long, slow process where you donāt necessarily see any results for a while.
I predict those that commit to nurturing and engaging their leads will win.
šŖ New tech will swoop in & save the day
AI, machine learning, and innovative platforms will open up new ways to gather insights without invading privacy.
Iāve been saying this for years nowā¦
But with the amount of ad revenue reliant on these platforms having good accurate data flowing into themā¦
ā¦the level of R&D and innovation going on behind the scenes to find a new, better solution must be wild.
šŖ The Big Picture
It's not a threat; it's an evolution.
Thatās all for this week - I hope you found it useful.
Take it easy,
Elliott āš¼
P.S. Are we connected on Linked? I post something everydayā¦ find me here.
P.P.S. I open up 1 slot in my diary each week to chat to a Hyper Growth Blueprint subscriber about their business.
