Welcome back 🫡

This week’s Hyper Growth Blueprint covers:

  • 🥊 How an amateur boxing fight outsold most pro fights

  • 💰 The Sales Equation: L + E + U = $

  • 🤖 Mega-Prompt of the Week

Let’s go… 👇

Last weekend I was in Manchester.

I was there to watch KSI vs Tommy Fury and Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis.

It was a very fun evening.

(Despite some questionable performances…)

Ringside at the AO Arena

KSI is 3 years older me.

I started following him on YouTube back in 2009.

Back then I used to watch his funny FIFA gaming videos…

To see him 14 years later selling out the AO Arena & going 6 rounds with one of the Fury bloodline… was pretty cool.

But what’s even cooler… is the staggering amount of people that watched.

It’s estimated this fight did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys.

(For context… Anthony Joshua vs Klitschko in 2017 did 1.6 million)

So how was an amateur boxing event able to outsell the majority of professional boxing fights?

Because they had nailed all three parts of the sales equation…

Allow me to explain…

The Sales Equation

My ability to create effective advertising and make more sales improved a lot when I got my head wrapped around this simple equation.

Logic 🧠 + Emotion 😍 + Urgency ⏳ = Sales 💰

Let’s break these components down…

Logic (L) 🧠

Logic is the brain of your sale.

It's where your customer asks questions like:

"Does this make sense?"
"Does it actually work?"
"Is it worth the price?"

You answer these questions by providing:

  • explanations

  • facts

  • figures

  • evidence

  • proof

  • comparisons

For example, showing how much money they save in the long run, or why it’s stronger/better/faster than a competitor, or how you can watch 11 fights for just £19.99 if you buy the PPV…

You satisfy their logic by offering truth, evidence & reasonable assumptions that paint your product/service as a rational decision.

Emotion (E) 😍

Emotion is the heart of your sale.

People buy things that make them feel good or solve a problem they're having.

You tap into these emotions by telling stories.

We use stories to:

  • create a connection

  • make them 'feel' the transformation the product can bring

  • project the possibility of change & show them the journey

  • create emotional bonds by using the reader’s own language

People are emotional creatures, and decisions are often influenced by our feelings.

We justify those decisions with logic and the urgency gives us a reason to act right away, but it's the emotion that really moves us.

A sale is not just a transaction.

It's a transfer of enthusiasm and emotion from one person to another.

Connect on an emotional level, and your sales will skyrocket.

The emotional build up for the Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis fight in this case was craaaaaazy (& likely resulting in hefty lawsuits afterwards).

Urgency (U) ⏳

Urgency is the friendly kick in the butt.

It's all about creating need.

"Why buy now?"

To make the most sales possible, you need to answer this question with an offer they can't resist, or a deadline that's looming.

Urgency turns a "maybe" into a "must-buy now".

If there's no urgency, there's no reason for your customers to buy right now.

And if they don't buy now, they may forget, find a replacement, or just lose interest.

Understanding how to create genuine urgency can significantly increase your sales.

But be warned.

Overuse or inauthentic urgency can erode trust. And no one wants that.

Mega-Prompt of the Week 🤖

Analyse your Marketing & Sales Content with the Sales Equation

This prompt will enable you to analyse your existing sales & marketing content (ad copy, web pages, lead magnets, articles, blogs etc.) using the Sales Equation.

It will spit out a table that gives you a score out of 10 for each element, before then explaining why & giving you some practical ways to improve it.
