šŸ¤–šŸš€ the idiot-proof strategy to success

The Hyper Growth Blueprint.

Read time: 4 mins…

Howdy folks,

This week’s Hyper Growth Blueprint covers…

  • 🄁 Why this drummer was focused on the wrong thing

  • šŸ’Æ The 100-a-day outreach strategy

  • šŸ† How volume negates luck

Let’s get into itā€¦šŸ‘‡

I'm writing this from Florida where I'm on holiday with my little brother.

He's a drummer. Been playing for fourteen years.

Exceptionally talented. Currently studying jazz at the University of Leeds.

But here's his problem: he's got more than enough skill to be a professional drummer… but absolutely no one knows he exists.

We were having a conversation by the pool yesterday and I asked him a simple question:

"How much time are you spending every week making people aware of what you can do?"

His answer: "Literally none."

And there's the problem.

Talent without visibility is just an expensive hobby.

Skill without marketing is just personal satisfaction.

You can be the best in the world at what you do…

….but if no one knows about it, you're going to struggle.

So we put together a planā€¦šŸ‘‡

Step 1: Document the journey

He’s launching a YouTube channel where he documents his path from obscurity to notoriety.

Not polished, professional content (yet…).

Just real, behind-the-scenes stuff showing what it actually takes to build a music career.

Step 2: The 100-a-day outreach strategy

Here's where it gets interesting.

He decided he's going to reach out to 100 professional drummers every single day with personalised messages asking for advice.

Not pitching.

Not selling.

Just asking for guidance from people who've already made it.

If you reach out to 100 drummers a day for a year, that's 36,500 conversations.

It would be completely unreasonable for none of them to respond.

It would be completely unreasonable for none of them to help.

It would be completely unreasonable for him not to succeed.

Today was day one.

After just three messages… he already had his first reply!

From a drummer who gets over half a million listens on Spotify.

Three messages.

One meaningful connection.

This reminded me of a fundamental truth that applies to every single business… šŸ‘‡

The results you want are often on the other side of extremely large amounts of effort.

Most people want the shortcut.

The hack.

The secret strategy that nobody else knows about.

But the reality is much simpler and much harder:

You already know what to do… you just need to do MORE of it.

Most businesses fail not because they don't know what to do, but because they don't do enough of it.

  • They send 10 emails and wonder why nothing happens.

  • They make 5 phone calls and assume the market isn't interested.

  • They make 3 ads and expect one of them to be profitable.

That’s just not how it works.

When you do such small volumes of these actions your whole strategy is essentially relying on hope and luck.

My brother could spend the next year perfecting his technique, learning new songs, and getting marginally better at drumming.

OR he could spend the next year getting dramatically better at being known for his drumming.

Guess which one is more likely to generate opportunities and progress his career?

The beauty is most people won't do this because it's hard work.

100 properly personalised messages a day is proper graft.

It's not glamorous. It's not sexy.

In fact, it’s incredibly tedious and mundane.

But it works.

And that's exactly why most people won't do it.

Which is why it works for the people who will.

As always, I hope you found this useful.
