I just returned from a week in Austin, Texas.
I was there for a two-day Marketing Mastermind with 30 other Entrepreneurs.
It was awesome - and I even got to share some of the cool stuff thatās working really well for us right now.
An interesting trend emerged: Slow Sales
Most businesses in the room have seen their sales cycle duration increase.
People are still spending, but they are taking longer.
We can debate whether itās because of cost of living, the economy in general, or diminishing trustā¦
ā¦but regardless, I anticipate those businesses that nurture relationships now will be the ones that win later.
Today I want to talk about an easily overlooked area that can completely destroy your conversion ratesā¦
ā¦congruency.
Congruency means alignment or harmony.
In business, it's about making sure all parts fit together.
Your actions match your words.
Your message matches your brand.
Your ad matches your landing page.
Everything lines up.
Congruency can be easily overlooked when it comes to advertising.
And itās often a big reason why campaigns donāt perform that well.
Picture this: your prospect is scrolling through their feed, and BAM!
Your ad catches their eye š.
It's witty.
It's compelling.
It's everything they've been searching for.
They click through.
Hearts racing with anticipation.
Only to land on a page that looks like it's from a different universe.
Confusion sets inā¦šµāš«
ā¦and before you know it, they've vanished into the digital abyss.
Never to be seen again.
Making sure you create a congruent experience from the initial touchpoint in the ad, to the page they land on, to the follow up they then receive is key.
When ads match landing pages, people trust you more.
Confused customers don't buy. Matching messages boost conversions.
And consistent messages help build a strong brand.
The problem: when youāve been in a business for so longā¦ you have the ācurse of knowledgeā
You donāt see things through the same lens as a new customer anymore.

Step 1. Screenshot your Ad
Step 2. Use GoFullPage Chrome Extension to capture your full landing page
Step 3. Paste into any AI that has āvisionā (ChatGPT 4, Claude, Gemini etc.)
Step 4. Prompt it to analyse the congruency of the two

This super-simple flow can rapidly identify any areas you might have overlooked and give you easy areas of improvement.
